Technology allows companies to produce far more value for workers than a couple bucks a day. They just have to keep the greed in check. Why do Democrats enjoy telling Americans that there is never enough to go around? Why promote the self defeating attitude? It's no wonder so many prefer a welfare check over a real job. Meanwhile, real wealth is being hoarded instead of shared. Democrat policies at work.

Really?
Housing codes are important to keep contractors from skimping on their work, because they will if they can. A person who plans to have a home built new that they will live in for a while would be best served by going through the entire building process with the contractor, making sure they do stuff like use 12 gauge wire in all receptacles, upgrade from the usual "builder" grade carpets, fixtures, siding, shingles, etc.

Also, OSHA and other organizations exist to keep employees safe. I don't see the issue here. Regulations exist because people like to cut corners to make more profit with less materials and/or effort. Period.

Given the popularity of the man who came second in the Democratic primary, and the unpopularity of the man who was nominated by the Republicans, I think any observant person would agree that there is fractioning happening in our political parties. Frankly, even without evidence, one could guess this would happen when you ask a nation of 300 million to pick between two teams.

I'd imagine many of them getting out of college with their basket weaving 101 degrees, can't find a job and have mountain of debt might be a little bit jealous of the coal miner who now has a nice vehicle, a down payment on a house and a bank account if they spent their money wisely over the last 4 years.

The liberals absolutely hate hard workers who make everyday products. They act like hundreds of people keeping their jobs with Carrier making a living and keeping Americans cool in the summer is in awful thing.

The liberals also want to do all they can to punish the coal workers, oil workers and natural gas workers with their ridiculous environmental regulations and red-tape.

The liberals punishment of oil, natural gas and coal workers has more to do punishing those who didn't spend 8 years of being indoctrinated by crap at liberal arts colleges. They look down on those who actually keep America running with coal, oil and natural gas as opposed to those who sit in classrooms, go into debt and then make a living by consulting.

The liberals also want to burden America's over the road truck drivers with lots of regulations, despite the fact that many liberals sit inside their office suites all-day on Amazon ordering specialty products that they insist is delivered the next day or they have a liberal tantrum.

Accurate post. I do not believe in either propping up industries or burdening with regs to kill them. HRC gloated that "We are gonna kill lots of coal jobs". That was reprehensible to all those who rely on coal production for a living. She did a touchdown dance on their paycheck.

For that reason, I hope from now until the day she dies, she agonizes about her dream of becoming POTUS never , ever coming through, as if played on a continuous loop.

The Democrats are now more elitist than the GOP has ever been, and I absolutely, positively, find that an unforgivable thing.

White Liberals have a God Complex. Whatever they are for they assume all Democrats support it and any person who doesn't is backwards and evil. One example is the media storyline that urban cities are booming, the reality is 95% of population growth is in the suburbs and cities are simply not hemorrhaging population anymore. This year White Liberals overreached by backtracking on the traditional Democrat stance on being tough on trade and instead embracing free trade and telling unemployed blue collar workers to 'pound sand'.

Which colleges -- specifically -- grant degrees in basket weaving? Please tell us. We'd like to know so that we can evaluate the substance of your posts.

They are not going to be very jealous of that coal miner who will probably end up with black lung disease before too long. There is an epidemic of new cases of black lung, something like 1,000 new cases recently. Yes, the coal miner might make a fair living, but at what cost ?

So those complaining about having lost their jobs in coal have not spent their money wisely over the last 4 years? If they're doing so well, what's the complaint about no jobs with coal miners?

Black lung making comeback among miners | TheHill
And with ACA being repealed, what will happen to their health coverage? There is a special clause/benefit for those with black lung in the ACA!
