All they are saying is the under the age of 18 you will be considered a victim, not a criminal. Anyone who uses their services would still face charges, but the child would be treated differently. This law is in response to sex trafficers who exploit children, and then children have been considered compliant, up until now. We have always had softer laws for minors, this is no different.
But it is more fun to think the Democrats are legalizing child prostitution, isn't it ?
Use a REAL website and we can talk. Snopes hires hookers and prostitutes and uses google for their "research" so...nah not a real fact checking website.
Not fake news; just a fake spin from a really sleazy site. The legislation makes it easier for these kids to reach out to authorities for help, that's all.
You assume that all under age prostitutes are doing it by force. I'm sure that's not true. Many are doing it by choice.
There is a good point here however. While it is clearly designed to get such kids off the street and out of the business there is a legitimate worry as to whether or not that will take place. If the local social services do not follow up the kid ends up back in the action. Treating the kid as a victim is a good idea if you actually provide the required services to the victim.
So this law needs follow up that children caught up in sex trafficking are in fact moved into situations that will keep them from repeating.
No it won't be legal to hire a child prostitute but those under 18 won't suffer criminal charges for selling sex.
Sorry I think that they should be charged as criminals even if they are under 18 just like if they are stealing or selling drugs, etc.
It's a crime.
We need to stop normalizing criminal behavior.

Exactly. If they don't get the help they need, this may make things worse.
Because their leader has started a trend. All he has to do is say " I hear...." and it becomes fact. That, and the fact they look for anything they can to jump on the other team.
Who is our "leader?"
I will say, though, that whatever Barack Obama says, the Left tend to believe it. Doesn't matter how ridiculous.
