Apparently CA dems don't feel those under 18 that are selling sex should be treated as criminals.

This is being 'progressive'?.. The line is "No child is a prostitute"

I think if one is a teenager they are old enough to know right from wrong.

Why should they not be treated as criminals if they are engaging in criminal behavior?..

Default Child Prostitution Legalized by California Democrats

This is being "Progressive" ?

No it won't be legal to hire a child prostitute but those under 18 won't suffer criminal charges for selling sex.
Sorry I think that they should be charged as criminals even if they are under 18 just like if they are stealing or selling drugs, etc.
It's a crime.
We need to stop normalizing criminal behavior.

Being an obviously biased source I think I need more info before commenting.

Once again, you quote from a very biased, alt right publication and stretch the truth. That is NOT what the new law states. Here, read the truth:

Child Prostitution Legalized in California? : snopes.com

All they are saying is the under the age of 18 you will be considered a victim, not a criminal. Anyone who uses their services would still face charges, but the child would be treated differently. This law is in response to sex trafficers who exploit children, and then children have been considered compliant, up until now. We have always had softer laws for minors, this is no different.

But it is more fun to think the Democrats are legalizing child prostitution, isn't it ?

Because their leader has started a trend. All he has to do is say " I hear...." and it becomes fact. That, and the fact they look for anything they can to jump on the other team.

Not fake news; just a fake spin from a really sleazy site. The legislation makes it easier for these kids to reach out to authorities for help, that's all. Many have been traditionally afraid to do so because pimps and others in the trade told them they'd be arrested for prostitution if they went to a cop. Here's some news on the subject:

Oh BS. No wonder half this country voted for that stupid bint, Hillary. Morons believe the MSM was telling them the truth.

The lame stream has been lying to you all for years. Decades.

Quit sniveling about Trump winning. It's not his fault that media lies.

What source can't be viewed as biased these days though.

Here it is from L.A Times which is a very liberal source.

"Children can no longer be charged with prostitution, given the high incidence of human trafficking of people younger than 18. Adults who perform or solicit prostitution would not face mandatory minimum sentences. "
