Liberals Panic as Trump Could Flip Left-Leaning Ninth Circuit

Outgoing Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) called the vacancies a “judicial emergency,” according to Bay Area public radio station KQED, even though there are 29 judges on the court. The “emergency” is that Trump’s nominees might be able to make the court more conservative.

...
Barring a last-minute set of recess appointments, Trump will be able to fill the four vacancies, subject to the approval of the Senate. During the election, Trump produced a list of potential conservative judicial nominees to the Supreme Court.

Just the mere possibility of some conservatism scares these people to death.

Oh, if the 9th circuit flips that would be amazing! Too late for Peruta, but still... And that unethical Kamala Harris isn't attorney general anymore, to stick her nose in and force actions that, constitutionally, should never have been allowed. Crossing my fingers hard for this one.

That's great news! Even if Obama did appoint anyone GOP congress wouldn't approve them.

So expect some last minute recess appointments. Say what you will about democrats, they are good at exploiting these sorts of maneuvers.

yes we do, re you saying that judges that actually apply the constitution to the laws in this country are activist judges? it seems to me that the liberal/progressive judges that are appointed to the bench are the ones that are the activists and try to make new laws from the bench.
