Give them the option of working off their time and learning a skill OR sitting in a cell most of the day.

Let them choose. Most will want to work. Working off their time would be fair compensation.

Trump can supply the labor. He's got experience in hiring non union laborers at minimum wage.

I had mixed feeling about this myself. Having known someone in a federal 'Camp Cupcake" type prison (there really are none), I know how bored he got before he got a job and how empty the hours were.

I guarantee you he would rather have been out there sweating and keeping healthy than sitting on his arse.

BUT - then I thought about all the construction workers, etc that really DO need jobs. And I do think this would be screwing them out of work.

Like a good liberal, trying to see all sides of this issue . . . .

With all due respect, i remember it was you who said that prisoners should join the military.

I am not looking for an argument from you, I am just trying to understand your mentality.

I don't believe prisoners should serve in the military, nor do I believe they should build the wall.
