Let me correct your misinterpretation. Her reference to "My children are growing up in a house built by slaves" was actually her saying "Look how far America has come, this house was built by black slaves, and today a black man is able to be President." It was her complimenting us on rising above what we once were.
But you really don't care , do you ?
She was race baiting. The White House was not being built by slaves alone. There were whites people too. Not all slaves.
I think she has been an amazing first lady. And she will be missed. I don't understand why some are so hateful...saying good ridden and other derogatory comments. There were many presidents I didn't agree with but that had nothing to do with their wives. And I think all our first ladies have been wonderful making their own mark in our country with causes they believe in. So what is the animosity against Michelle all about.
I'd say get off my lawn. So much hate in her. It was Michelle who said for the first time she was proud of USA because her husband finally became president. She should move to Canada because I'm always proud of USA regardless of my husband or relatives become president.
