Streep made a fool of herself and showed zero class. Hollywood folk are many of the most deplorable hypocrites, second only to politicians.
But Trump responding to her like that was very un presidential. He has to start ignoring attacks, deserved or not. Obama was a master at it, he got ridiculed and slammed daily and ignored it 99% of the time unless he was told to counter it for damage control purposes.
Why did you tune in if you hate Hollywood so much?
On this, One may find innumerable similarities or common features between them, such as institutionalization, or the fact that both art and sport can be performed on stages, or arenas, presented for a public and so forth.
Sport is art, in my opinion.
Your opinion is not fact. THE arts is not sport.
Is the New York Philharmonic a sport?
Streep said Football and MMA are not THE arts. Which is an indisputable fact.
You're getting pretty worked up there over something you don't care about. Let it go.
When people act poorly in public, it's ok for others to call them on it.

Someone who received a huge award last night was critical of the Glorious Leader (without even speaking his name) due to his insensitive and cruel imitation of a disabled person. They are even claiming he did not do it, though it is quite plainly on video. Sad!
Meryl Streep has more class in her little finger than Trump has in his entire being, or empire for that matter.
Funny, you dems rant nonstop about how bad Trump is because he criticizes people in a public venue.

It's probably big news in the hate radio shows they all listen to this morning. IF you are interested, here is a website that tracks the hatred and vileness of the right wing: http://www.rightwingwatch.org/

The arts is not sports, ok? Accept it & move on, arguing about it is redundant.
No, there's a H-U-G-E difference here. Meryl Streep is a U.S. citizen expressing her feelings about the next President of the United States. Trump is the next President of the United States tweeting insults. She doesn't hold any office, make decisions that impact all Americans and citizens around the word. She won't ever have the nuclear codes.
Also, she was speaking against hateful speech, not promoting it.
What do you think would have happened if the situation were reversed?
Hillary wins election
Clint Eastwood gets to the podium and bashes Hillary?

well, her comment is quite arrogant and immature. I see no difference between hers and Trump's.
LOL
nobody should be surprised by it, politicians and entertainers. The pot calling the kettle black
