1) Of course it's a publicity grab. I frankly think he might be eyeing a WH run in 2020.
2) He's not a hack or extremist if you look at his record...he's just making a smart political move to gain national attention which is pretty normal especially with the power vacuum in the democratic party with Hillary DOA.
His Senate race was funded in part by bundlers that go by the name of Jared Kushner and Ianvka Trump.

It was mentioned in the OP article that Booker acknowledged that he worked with Sessions to honor the marchers in Selma regarding Civil Rights....
I also think Booker is poising to run in 2020 and I think he would be a good choice, young and handsome and more liberal than many liberals.
The guy has taken more bribe money from Wall Street than almost any senator on both sides of the isle. Booker is not for the 99%. He serves the donor class. "young and handsome" is not what is needed when the middle class and low income people are suffering. We need someone who has the guts to take on the billionaire class and special interests and fight for salt of the earth Americans.
He needs more than Democrats to get him into office... what he did was purely political... we have never in history had a senator testify against another senator running for the cabinet for political points... Moderates and the Republicans will not vote for Booker over this, and his opponent should not let anyone forget... he can't win on Democrats alone and that was exactly what he did today...
Um yea that is nonsensical. These unwritten rules of courtesy between politicians are not important to anyone except politicians themselves. Just look at Donald Trump.

Did you hear/watch his "testimony"? Corey Booker is not just a 'black man', he is super-partisan Senator and he declared War on Jeff Sessions for nothing even close to 'provable'. He may be able to get re-elected to his position in New Jersey - but he has zero chance of higher office in the Federal Government.
Whiners and Race Baiters are not suitable for higher office. He made a big mistake today.
A: don't put racist in scare quotes
B: he doesn't praise Sessions in that video
