Flynn's timing was very suspect, I don't think this is a coincidence.
Bad enough he was paid by the Russian Times but this needs an explanation.

An anonymous official is claiming that retired Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn, who will soon serve as national security adviser to President-elect Donald Trump, contacted Russia on the day that President Obama announced sanctions against the country for its alleged hacking of the 2016 presidential election.

Flynn allegedly phoned Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak on several occasions on Dec. 29, after President Obama announced the expulsion of 35 Russian officials as well as other sanctions, according to The Washington Post. It’s unclear what Flynn said during the call, but it may have played a role in Russian dictator Vladimir Putin deciding not to retaliate in order to wait and see how Trump will handle the situation — a decision that Trump praised on Twitter as “very smart.”

Michael Flynn, Donald Trump’s national security adviser, contacted Russia when Obama announced sanctions: report - Salon.com

Allegedly

Doesn't make it 'fake', but doesn't make it true either.

(Anonymous source put a whole lot of things out about Clinton (and Obama too), and that is factual to some, but repeating Trumps exact words is fake. Strange)

Now, go back to your corners.

Dear reader of the OPs slanted news.

read the end of the linked Washington Post story. not the Salon report. the Salon report is full of half truths, and regurgitates Manifort nonsense put out when the Ukrainian government worked in coordination with the DNC to subvert our election.

From the Post story:
1. Flynns first call came before the announcement of sanctions. It was to extend condolences to the Russians over the death of their Ambassador in Turkey.
2. The second (last) call came after a Russian plane was shot down over Syria carrying civilians. Flynn expressed condolenses again. That call also covered logistics for a Trump/Putin call after the inauguration.

Perhaps he's working on his Russian. Who knows?

Since Trump is not yet president, seems premature at best.

which is kind of funny considering the fact that the only person to really in truly violate the Hatch Act was Red Dead Ted Kennedy when he tried to make a deal with Russia during Ronnie Rayguns presidency.

First off, it's Salon... blatantly bias against anything conservative and a known hater of Trump.

Secondly: An anonymous official is claiming that <<< what's new?

Why didn't any on the left question Obama's hot mic moment with Russia?

A live mic trumps an anonymous official every time.
