When you return that plate, do you get loud and start trashing the restaurant? Did you break the windows of every other car in the mechanic's parking lot? Did you scream at your child's teacher and call him/her names, making a scene? Did you curse up a storm in your letter and type it in all caps and include threats?
This describes behavior Repubs did this year during the campaign months, having been all stirred up, having had hate crimes incited, feeling superior by having been given a free pass by their pompous leader to do so..(like the young woman in the Crafts store who blew up at a checker and others around her).

If you don't like Trump or agree with Republican policies, it makes a lot more sense to dedicate time and energy fighting for what you believe in, and doing grassroots work to accomplish that. Protesting the inauguration seems to me to be throwing a giant temper tantrum, and it's especially bothersome to me that if you're somebody who has serious reservations about a Trump presidency yet make this point, you'll be ostracized.
Same purpose as posting anonymously to a public forum. People like to register their opinions and connect with others.
not even scalpers can make money on this inauguration.. This is like the only inauguration that has ever happened in history no president before has ever been so unpopular and like hated this early on.

Anyone who watched the rioters and protesters after the election cannot deny that these people look like wannabe revolutionaries. They have an un American attitude and they are truly dangerous. Out west they now have a very real secession agenda for California. Most of these leftist are millenial whiners who refuse to live in a nation without socialism and political correctness. They have grown up to hate what America stands for and they plan to bring big trouble on Inauguration Day. It is possible that by this weekend some places in this nation could be in chaos. These whinny millenial leftist may eventually tear this nation apart in thier attempt to rework it into some kind of pinko socialist utopia that they envision it being. These are not democrats, at least not the kind we all have known in saner times. These folks are extremists, they are not the kind of people who voted for Kennedy, Carter or Bill Clinton. Inauguration Day could be just the beginning of a dangerous period in our history. These deep divisions in our country have been building between leftist and traditional conservative types for decades, confrontation has been inevitable for a long time now. I worry that time is very near. We should all be worried for our great nation today.

The only reason it could become a "dangerous period" is due to who is going to attempt to run things.
It's funny you say they are the cause of divisiveness, when it is known to be the other way around, which has been a fight to have it evolve entirely into being a place of equality and fairness, having always had resistance from the right.
Many are worried, alright.. not wanting to be forced into going backwards, fearing negative changes that will severely impact everyone.
