At the turn of a hand he can have Sessions and the rest of the wonderful team he established shut down the weed shops, taking away a major revenue source for blue states (which they use to fund their handout programs to turn themselves blue in the first place.)
I wouldn't be surprised if weed-legal states become a thing of the past by the end of January.
And destroy the republican party during not only the midterm election but the next presidential election. I'll never get republican's aversion to weed... if they are supposedly the party of "freedom" why not legalize it and tax it? Why are so many republicans borderline alcoholics but then go bonkers over weed? You want to stick it to potheads, generate tax revenue from them not just on the state level but the federal level. So many problems would be solved and revenue generated from this.
Since I don't really do weed or drink alcohol, I wouldn't be bothered if they banned both weed and alcohol to be consistent, but I don't support this because I support personal liberty... plus the nightmare that would be created from banning alcohol.. driving it underground...

I guess that depends on whether Trump thinks it is a wise political move to **** off nearly half the population in his first week of office.
Also, why do you think that weed is popular only in blue states?

You do realize they are breaking federal law right?

So much for the alleged GOP belief in states' rights.
Personally, I say keep the weed and dump Sessions.
At one time everyone was in favor of this, only recently has it been some state's decisions to go against this. I'm all for state's rights, I'm just saying that Trump has some major leverage over the weed states.
This is not like the slamming down our throats of gay marriage legalization, where some states were opposed to it prior to the decision.

You make it sound like weed taxes are what funds stupid government. We had stupid government long before anyone was taxing weed and I think most states set aside that money for education shortfalls?
