I take it they didn't teach civics in your school district?

Wow, you think police patrolling your town are federal employees? ROFLMAO. Wow, you might need to take a civics class or forty.

And what if I play ball as a member of Congress and don't even hold a vote on purpose?

Obama should have worked with the senate to nominate someone the majority would vote for.

Ultimate the blame lies with Obama for never working with congress, his my way or the high way attitude was detrimental in the long run. Look at the difference between what Clinton was able to accomplish and Obama was able to accomplish with the same exact situation.

Shut down the government if you have to also.
They don't actually have to put another person on the court.

The Dems can play the same game the GOP does.

Get a grip on reality.

And I'm with the other folks who want a slow, inefficient government that doesn't get a chance to waste our tax dollars.
Like I told the other poster.. you don't like having a strong military to protect you, a police force to protect you, roads to drive on and bridges that don't fall apart while you try to cross them? Government pays for all that genius.

Congress is allowed to do this if they choose.

It is functionally the same. If they were going to vote, "Yes", they would have held hearings. They refused to hold hearings, because they had no intention of voting in favor of any Obama nominee.

The difference isn't functional, it is political. The political-left had hoped to use the Republican refusal to approve any of Obama's nominees, as more evidence of Republican obstructionism, or even racism.

They knew the Republicans were never going to appoint an Obama nominee with the election just around the corner. And it isn't like this isn't the first time that has happened. The Democrats have done the exact same thing in the past.

Get over yourself.
