It seems the press is going to pointedly call out every lie Trump tells, and go to battle with him. In the latest press conference, Spicer made the false claim that Trump froze federal hiring to counter the "recent dramatic expansion" of federal workers . The press was VERY quick to make the statement that Spicer lied early in his conf, since the truth is that the fed work force is actually slightly lower now than when Obama took over and has been on the downslide for decades .

Trump has apparently given up on the inauguration lie, with Spicer saying now that his rant referred to all viewership, including internet, even though he was citing transit rider numbers and photos of the crowd during his rant . But it seems they now realize how foolish they look and are backtracking .

Let's see how willing Trump is to continue to lie about obvious stuff like the fed workforce numbers if he keeps getting called by a press not afraid to call him out and give the actual facts for the public to see .

Good. The press needs to hold this narcissistic maniac accountable. The truly upsetting part is that Trump seems to believe his own lies, and that makes him very dangerous, considering he has access to the nuclear codes. I'm just hoping he'll be removed from office before he does any irreversible damage.

Yeah, I saw the media still lying about the unemployment rate being at 4.75% or some such silliness as that.

Everything the media reports (propagandizes) has been served up with an asterisk since the beginning of the 0bama regime. They find and set conditions to parse the situation to twist it to fit their narrative. U3 unemployment numbers are 4.75%, the real unemployment number (U6, IIRC) is substantially higher.

I think Trump does this stuff to call attention these facts. The media will lose in the end after they expose themselves, when Trump backs them into the corner. Much the same way the libs have. Eventually some people wake up.

Oh, for God's sake... Some truths are universal, like the size of the inaugural crowd. Statistics can be manipulated depending on how things are measured, yes, but that's not what we're talking about here. We're talking about a man so sick that his minions have to stand in front of the media and say that his blatant lies are truth.

The "mainstream media" will be the ones who save the U.S. - if they keep stepping up and pointing out that the emperor has no clothes. If we stop listening to them altogether, there is no more U.S. and I shudder to think what will be left.

I do not feel like the Press 'chose' to go to war with Donald John Trump, but that war was thrust upon them by President Trump's behavior, such as becoming upset when the Press would repeat his statements. Anyway, it is the duty of the Fourth Estate to report on politicians, what they say, what they do, and what they wish to be hidden from exposure.

Lately, I have been reminded of Voltaire. One remark of his seems to be applicable:

"Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities".

Not really. Your posts just need more substantive content , that's all .

Did Trump tell the truth about the "rapid and dramatic increase" in fed workers? If so, provide some facts to show your dear leader isn't actually lying as claimed by the media .

The media supported their claim with facts and graphs and numbers, which I linked . Try doing the same to dispute their claim .

Who cares what the press thinks. They are liars and their continued partisan BS shows they can not be trusted. In fact, everything they say should be dismissed out of hand first.
