To the OP, I agree. We're going to be in a lot of trouble. Isolationism never works, especially when the world has become so interconnected.
So you think the only other option is open borders?

Ding ding ding, we have a winner We don't need a wall, we need expanded workplace enforcement backed up with a reformed immigration system so people don't have to wait decades to legally immigrate.

Illegals come here because they are enticed by big business moguls like Donald Trump looking to make a cheap buck while conning people into thinking the Hispanics are out to rape and pillage their way across America. Divide and conquer! If the so called "White trash" are too engrossed in bashing Blacks and Hispanics and Muslims they won't see the Republican elites giving away the bank to Wall Street hacks.

I agree too.

I'm not saying we don't have a problem with illegal immigration. We do. But building a wall isn't going to help. Trump is an isolationist if I've ever seen one. When I talk to his voters about this, they swear up and down he's not. Well if he's not, why is he doing everything he is? Does he not realize his actions will make America isolationist?

No worries, with Trump leading us to the dark ages no one will want to emigrate to America anyway. Problem solved. No wall necessary.

Immigrate, not emigrate.

Scared? Me? You think I would be afraid if the massive building I was working in was rammed by a fully loaded jetliner filled with fuel and piloted by illegal aliens?

You think that would bother me!?

Nah. I ain't skeert.

Build the wall.

Isolating ourselves from the world will create a void that will be happily filled by China, Russia, and new organizations like the proposed CANZUK union. Canada doesn't need us, Mexico doesn't need us ... but we sure do need the free movement of goods and people. Would you rather pay $20 for a head of lettuce or $1,000 for an iPhone?

All across the world (except for the US and Western Europe where Russian propaganda has successfully led people to cower in fear of anyone who looks or speaks or prays differently) countries are uniting and forming unions. In Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Bloc we have the Union State/Eurasian Economic Union. In Latin America we have CELAC, UNASUR, ALBA all of which are closely aligned with Russia and China and led avowedly anti-American leaders like Raul Castro and Nicholas Maduro.

We're endangering our national interests because some rubes in Kentucky and Alabama are scared of Muslims and Mexicans and/or were too stupid to learn marketable skills. Donald Trump isn't make us great again, he's taking us backwards towards becoming an irrelevant rump state. An American version of North Korea. But hey, as long as we stick it to the darkies and the Muzzies it's all good right?

Interesting, we don't pay anywhere near $20 a head of lettuce from our local farmers market. And it was grown and picked by the family that owns the farm.

As far as the $1k I phone, sure if production over night had to start up here stateside the prices would go up, but they would eventually fall. When production of automobiles was offshored did we see a huge drop in prices ? What about clothing ? I can buy a US made pair of jeans for $70-100, yet jeans like Lucky Brand which are made in Thailand cost the same.

You might think we need more sexist homophobes in this country. Many of us think we already have enough home-grown ones and don't need any more.
I think you need to read the Bible, friend.

We need strong borders and strong laws. Or should we have weak borders and weak laws?

Thanks to Prez Donald for working so diligently to protect the USA! But CA may already be lost. We may have to build another wall around CA before we are finsihed. Whether Muslims or Mexicans...infiltration then takeover is how it is done.

It is the long term goal of Mexico to reclaim the territory the US had taken from them in the 1800's.
The way the reclamation is accomplished is by massive influx illegal aliens and legal immigrants from Mexico as well as convincing non-Mexican liberals to act as allies to their effort. Once the voting population is high enough to act, they vote in Reconquista friendly politicians that facilitate more illegal immigration.

Sanctuary cities are set up to help the illegal aliens assimilate. The state eventually becomes populated by a majority of voters whose goal is Reconquista.

http://remezcla.com/culture/la-reconquista-has-arrived-latinos-now-outnumber-gringos-in-the-state-of-california/

Once the numbers are sufficient, the state will vote to secede and leave the United States and can then be reclaimed by Mexico.

The states under reclamation include:

California
Nevada
Arizona
New Mexico
Texas
Utah
and parts of
Colorado
Wyoming
Kansas
Oklahoma

Here is a proposed map of the reclamation plan.

Ummm..... Have you ever heard of the European Union? Biggest single market globally?
