Executive overreach? Are you even paying attention?
This is going to happen a lot if he thinks he can just put whatever he wants through as an EO.
His EO is completely legal and constitutionally sound. You will find out shortly as the court can not ignore the law and they MUST rule according to it. This is all a dog and pony political show and you people know it.

President Trump has been pretty clear about his intention to use (abuse) his power. He apparently relishes the idea of using this as a 'weapon' against his own people, while disregarding collateral damages.

President Donald Trump said in an interview that aired today he would not be opposed to using defunding as a "weapon" against states that want to be sanctuaries for undocumented immigrants.
"I don't want to defund anybody. I want to give them the money they need to properly operate as a city or a state," Trump said. "If they're going to have sanctuary cities, we may have to do that. Certainly that would be a weapon." ...
Republicans shut down the federal government. I'd say they've been rather vocal about their disapproval.
Liberal line -- an unfounded charge when one looks at what really happened and why.

Trump’s executive order is essentially existing law passed unanimously by both bodies of Congress in 2002. It had the support of 16 Democrat senators and 57 Democrat House members who are still serving in their respective bodies.
Following 9/11, Congress passed the Enhanced Border Security and Visa Entry Reform Act, which addressed many of the insecurities in our visa tracking system. It passed the House and Senate unanimously. The bill was originally sponsored by a group of bipartisan senators, including Ted Kennedy and Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif. Among other provisions, it restricted non-immigrant visas from countries designated as state sponsors of terror.
It is still current law on the books [8 U.S. Code § 1735]. Presidents Bush and Obama used their discretion to waive the ban, but Trump is actually following the letter of the law — the very law sponsored and passed by Democrats — more closely than Obama did. Trump used his authority to add immigrant visas, but the fact remains that every Democrat in the 2002 Senate supported the banning of non-immigrant visas.
Given that Trump has backed down on green card holders, his executive order on “Muslim countries” is essentially current law, albeit only guaranteed for 90 days, but the media and others on the left don't tell us that. Major fail in their responsibility to the public and what they call "news", but is actually only "their" version of real news.
All they talk about is how the EO is illegal when it's not.

National security and immigration are one of the main authorities of the federal government. States who violate such and aid incoming criminals are directly endangering this country. He has EVERY right to use such methods to deal with a state which ILLEGALLY defys the duties of the federal government. By the way, I didn't see you people getting upset when Obama was suing states like Arizona to stop them from applying immigration law that your criminal president purposefully chose to avoid?
The problem with progressives is they have NO CLUE as to what our Constitution is, what the ACTUAL duties of the federal government are.
Obama specifically pushed issues that were not under the purview of the federal government and used his political advocacy and activism to force states.
It is no surprise that you people have some convoluted idea as to what the powers of federal government, what our Constitution means, or what is right and wrong. You people protect the criminals and attack the victims.

Once again, Hiliary won in highly POPULATED liberal states. People in the American heartland (you know, all those many states in between CA and NY) should have a voice too and their voice clearly wanted Trump.
