Are you willing to give Trump a chance? Or have you decided to be miserable for the next 4 (hopefully 8!) years ahead?

You've heard of Harry Truman, correct?

Yet you all get the vapors and need to retreat to your fainting couch every time Trump says something. Here's a newsflash for you --- Those of us who voted for Trump were well aware of what he is like. Did I like everything that came out of his mouth? Answer: No. That applies to every candidate I supported for president. I also know that libs freak out when a republican is in office and start ranting about how he is going to start WW III.

So...When Trump talks to world leaders, should he let them walk all over us like Obama did? Do you think that he's not allowed to show displeasure about something?

BTW, I believe it was you who said that Trump is a narcissist (If I'm wrong, please correct me). Guess what? It's a rare politician who isn't a narcissist. Obama is certainly one.

This has absolutely NOTHING to do with Republican vs. Democrat. Trump isn't a real Republican anyway, he was a Democrat most of his life.

This about a reality TV narcissist who has marketed himself as this genius businessman, ran as a joke and never actually expected to win and now he's in it to stoke his ego.
For all of Obama's flaws, at least he took the job seriously! Trump won't even attend National Security briefings because he thinks he's too smart to bother.
All he is doing is saying what people want to hear and rolling things out in such ham-fisted, unprepared way that nearly everything he's tried to do has been walked back and revised.
This goes BEYOND politics. This guy is a narcissist on an ego trip and the that is all he will ever be.

I wanted to give him a chance and I don't want him to fail but I'm starting to think that's a ridiculous stance. I don't want him to fail but I DO hope he gets impeached.

Here's an analogy..

Imagine we were on an airplane and the pilot and co-pilot became incapacitated. There's about 4 hours worth of fuel...Some braggart says he can fly the plane because he thinks he can do anything. So we vote on it and decide to give him a chance. He starts flying erratically and demonstrates zero knowledge of flying a plane while telling everyone he is doing a TREMENDOUS job despite all evidence to the contrary.

Now... would we say "Ah well! He's our captain now, let's just wish him luck because if he fails, we all fail" or do we find someone else who can fly the damn plane because otherwise it will be a loooong 4 hour flight and the landing is a bit uncertain!

Per the bolded --- I've explained already that all politicians are narcissists Second, if Trump didn't expect to win or didn't want to win, then why did he spend $50 million of his own money? Why did he go out and do 4 rallies a day in different parts of the country?

We who voted for Trump, knew that he wasn't a republican. You know what? That didn't matter one bit. We also knew that if he (or any serious candidate) ran as an independent s/he wouldn't get any traction.

Your airplane story doesn't hold water. Very poor analogy.

So...you like the whole rotten, corrupt system and wanted it to continue. Thus you feel threatened by anyone who is out to change it. Of course there will be some missteps along the line. He hasn't been on the job for a month yet. In time, no doubt, like many previous presidents, there will be some changing of the staff. You say you'll give him a chance---then sit back and watch it all unfold. Why work yourself up into a lather and be miserable everyday? Thank goodness, much as I disliked Obama, I was able to go on with my life. No way I would allow Obama to live in my head.

Bernie was too much into government coddling, cradle to grave benefits that just would have probably cost too much money in the long haul. You can look at countries like Greece that have basically fell apart with too much government entitlement programs. I'm all for the levels we have now, so I'm not a guy talking about chopping things, but when I hear someone talk about college being completely free, it doesn't jive with me. I think no matter what the student should bear some financial responsibility, it becomes a motivator when you've got a dog in the race as they say.... when things are free no one gives a rip for the most part. It's human nature, if you've got something to lose, you tend to work a bit harder.

Hilary jacked up a few things, her arrogance in not catering to certain groups, she has a likability factor on par with Trump. Sam Harris laid it perfectly why the Dem's lost, just do a search for him on YouTube, some fascinating insights the guy provides, and he was pro Hilary person, so it wasn't a partisan deal.

I mean just how screwed up do you have to be to lose to a guy like Trump, guys talking about grabbing women at the crotch, because you know, when you're rich you can do that. His bloviating self-congratulating arrogant personality. I swear, the guy pats himself on the back so much you'd wonder how his arm still works.

That all being said, he's here, people need to just stop protesting at some point and accept that he's in office. I find him distasteful, but I want him to bring back jobs, renegotiate some trade deals, deal with illegal immigration, kick ISIS in the balls etc etc etc.

You never heard Bernie say this. He explained how it would be paid for.

That's exactly right.

Bernie should have been offered a great slot, maybe VP.. That would have been the best combo. On his own I don't think Bernie could have won. I get it, that you think otherwise but I disagree, he lacked the support amongst voters.

WA is a great example. Bernie won it because HIS people showed up, he lost the second round where ALL dems voted (by mail) and he lost it by a very wide margin....

Caucusing to pick a candidate or elector is grossly out of date , people don't have the time nor interest.

I'm a war monger because I wanna see ISIS defeated?? YOU have no clue what I think. I don't post much in POC, unlike yourself. Can't have a rational conversation without the labels, typical conversation stoppers, calling someone a war monger or racist. It's a old tactic, usually used when you can't counter a point with a rational thought.
