The only problem I see is that his official account has a retweet of this, but if it was only his personal page, I don't see a problem with him supporting his daughter. If Nordstrom did it for political reasons, shame on them. The company sent a diversity memo to its employees before dropping Ivanka's brand, so there might be an ulterior motive besides low sales.

It doesn't matter if Nordstrom did it for political reasons. They have every right to do that.
This is a gigantic overreach of power and conflict of interest violation. You cannot use your position of power for personal gain. And it sets a horrible precedent if we let it go.
Why are you so concerned about what Nordstrom is doing, but aren't concerned by the egregious example being set by the leader of the free world?

Of course it is a problem.
If Obama used his position to promote his daughter you guys would be screaming and crying, you would be asking for impeachment and running amok.
The Trumps have a transactional view of the presidency.
Melania has launched another lawsuit (after the first one was thrown out due to lacking jurisdiction) against UK Daily Mail for printing and then retracting that she worked at an escort agency some years ago. She's claiming $150 million in damages to her future business prospects as a result of being FLOTUS. She may be hard pressed to prove she is worth anywhere near that.
Ivanka's stuff has been dropped not only by Nordstorms, but also Neiman Marcus, and Macy's and Belk's are next. Lack of sales not politics. I believe her fashions are still available at Walmart.
Thank you. The article should have included that instead of just saying it.
Sorry the news isnt a picture book. I know it sucks, but sometimes you have to read articles instead of just looking at the pretty pictures.
