Uh, hate to burst you guys bubbles, but if you see this as a win for Trump, you are putting your usual spin on it. He was FORCED to abandon his original ban and rewrite a more reasonable one......so how is that winning ? He had to swallow it and eat crow.

I think Donnie just had a lesson in rules of law, 101. Many Yuge tweets to follow.

On the other hand - IF TeamTrump just scraps the E.O that they were sued over - AND writes a New E.O based on the decision of the Seattle District & 9th Circuit Courts ruling ..... should be good to go.

It was always a Temporary Restraining Order on an Executive Order - the E.O. goes away and so does the TRO.
Tks

I don't think the so-called president ever intended his EO to affect many of those it did. He has been getting an earful from his Wall Street cronies (cabinet) and tech CEO buddies who are mad as hell that their cheap labor pipeline is being messed with. So he is more than happy to rewrite the EO and have the chance to blame it on the courts for his stupid followers.

Actually what your tired of is the Bad and Failing Roles the Liberals are playing in this show. Trump is still the Star of it, and the Liberals are getting "Fired" one after the other.

Trump wasn't forced to do anything, there hasn't even been no hearing about the EO yet.

We don't know what Trump may do, he said he will make an announcement next week.

Your badly mistaken. Like any Liberal, your trying to "call" the race before anyone hits the "Finish" line, and it doesn't work that way. You don't automatically "win" because you slowed one runner down. You have to cross the finish line. The Court has stopped after a small burst ahead, , and ran out of options. Trump is still headed that way. We will wait and see who finishes on top. But nice try anyway.

Some of you are treating this issue like its some kind of sports contest and the big focus is on who wins. The focus should be on what will let the nation win. If Trump was right that there was some emergency, he wouldn't withdraw the order and re-write it, which could take some time; instead, he'd immediately go to the Supreme Court. That's what "THIS IS URGENT" means. His actions mean this is not an emergency, which is GOOD NEWS for everyone in the nation--or, at least, everyone in the nation who doesn't want to be a victim of terrorist attack.

Now that the "ITS AN URGENT MATTER OF NATIONAL SECURITY REQUIRING IMMEDIATE ACTION" claim has been set aside, we have an opportunity to have a sober discussion that respects the different concerns people have. It is reasonable to be concerned that those who wish the nation ill will hide amongst refugees and try to get in. It is reasonable to want this country to help people who are victims of war get out of the way of the violence. So, BOTH SIDES in this discussion have right on their side. So, the question now is: will our elected leaders work toward both interests and in doing so protect American lives AND American values of generosity? Stay tuned.

If Trump had instructed embassies and consular offices to simply not issue visas nobody would notice. Even before this EO, there were countries that their citizens had virtually zero chance of getting a US visa and nobody complained or even knew about.

I agree that we should want what is best for the country, and not just root for one side or the other.

With that said, it wouldn't necessarily take much time to write a new order, in fact that could very well be what Trump's announcement is next week.

So... Exactly WHY are liberals fighting to keep the cheap foreign labor pipeline intact?
