So, Donald Trump gets elected president, then a week later appoints Flynn as his National Security Adviser.
Then almost two months later, Obama issues new sanctions against Russia.
A few days later, and acting as Trump's national security adviser(and presumably, a chief foreign-policy expert), Flynn gets a phone-call from the Russian Ambassador, and part of the call includes a discussion about the recent Russian sanctions.
And Keith Olbermann is calling for him to be tried for treason?
I know that they have the transcripts, so what did he actually say? And if they were so incriminating, why didn't Obama release them?
I'm fine with Flynn stepping down. I don't think he actually said anything that matters, but the fact that he "forgot" to mention it to Mike Pence, makes him look incompetent.
I think he acted alone...thinking he knew what to do from his military experience
Trump forced him to resign, so I think that shows his acting alone
Trump likely forced him to resign to save his own thin skin, not because he acted alone. If Flynn had stayed on, there would have been an even larger investigation, leading to Quagmiregate, and heads would roll big time. They might still.
Telling the Russians the USA may ease the sanctions when Trump takes over is no big deal. Get a life!
Yeah, that's what Trump thought, too. Turns out you are both wrong. A private citizen cannot talk policy or negotiate with a foreign government. That's against the law.
But no one expects you or your orange god to understand anything that is longer than what fits in a tweet.
Telling the Russians the USA may ease the sanctions when Trump takes over is no big deal. Get a life!
I want to keep the life I have, which is why I would prefer that Trump and his staff are not leaking information to the Russians.
This is a huge deal.
The intelligence community briefs Trump and Flynn on their sources for the blackmail dossier and the Russian involvement in the election. The next thing you know, the likely source of the dossier is found dead and three Russian cybersecurity experts are hauled off to prison and charged with being CIA spies.
Yikes!
Now whether Flynn, who reviewed all the security briefings and condensed them for Trump, leaked the information or someone else did remains to be seen.
But it needs to be seen.

I honestly do not know.
I have no idea what will happen with the "fallout" from this, either.
IMO, we will have to wait and see!
I'm with you.
None of us know. It's all speculation. Regardless, it was pretty dopey to do so whether he acted alone or at the instruction of others.
Will it be investigated by an independent non- partisan commission?
I do get a kick out of how many condemned the WaPo leak as fake news and here we are.
The last Admin that was so consistently critical of media was the Nixon Admin. Guess the media should have waited until the Nixon Admin disclosed.
DC has always been a hot bed of leaked information. Sometimes the leaks are intentional and sometimes not.
