I wish they had looked into these things months ago when it was clear Trump was in Putins pocket, but better late than never.

GOP Senate Intel Member: 'Exhaustive' investigation into Trump-Russia connections needed following Flynn resignation - CNNPolitics.com

Republican Sen. Roy Blunt, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, on Tuesday called for an exhaustive investigation into connections between President Donald Trump and Russia and said the Intelligence Committee should immediately speak with former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

Flynn resigned Monday evening amid revelations that he misled Vice President Mike Pence about conversations he had in December with Russia's ambassador to the US about sanctions placed on Russia. Pence had defended Flynn on television and denied he discussed sanctions after initial reports of the conversations.

You have been trolled by Sen. Blunt. All he seeks to do is get this out of the headlines. Nothing more, nothing less.

Regarding Flynn, he was a consultant. That's why he was in contact with anyone for Russia. It's not like he sat on his couch and decided to call Moscow. He was being paid to do a job....a job that was perfectly legal by the way.

Then why did he resign?

Unfortunately, Chaffetz refuses to form an investigative committee concerning Trump's Russian connection. This is after going over Clinton's underwear drawer looking for stains, anything, over and over and over.
Not sure Blunt will get anywhere.

Because Trump wants it out of the headlines. Any President would. Flynn resigns.....Sen. Blunt starts an "investigation"...the media masses go silent. That's how it works in DC.

A good first step would be releasing Trump's tax returns.

If there were anything to see, an IRS mole would have already leaked it. I have no doubt about that whatsoever.

I think McCain and Graham will get on board with this investigation. Snowball effect. Too many R's looking for cover since the Inauguration, thinking tRump would 'grow' into the job. Now that he and his staff are threatening our democracy, more and more R's will try to get in front of this issue.

I thought tRump would last a year or two, but if he's not impeached in 6 months, I'll be surprised.
