Scary but what is the solution? The guy is nuts, even an internal coup could trigger the use of nuclear arms from NK. Shoot the missiles out of the sky? You cn expect a response with them attacking SK.

The other thing is there is some speculation this assassination may have also been a message to the west of their ability to use such a weapon in a terrorist attack and/or military attack.

I think the best option here is a surprise assassination, drop a bomb on his head. Hope those that accede to power are not of the same ilk.

every administration runs thru all scenarios, considering all options.

Not taking anything off the table is the way to negotiate and intimidate, though the military action may not be forthcoming. It should get china's attention and maybe some pressure from them.

at least trump didn't draw a red line.

And if they're worse? And attack SK in retribution for our meddling?

I guess we see now where all that military spending will go.

I'm not sure how you get worse than a mentally unstable spoiled brat that views himself as god that can exert power with absolute impunity and has his hands on a nuclear weapon. This is an extremely dangerous person and situation with or without US intervention. You can completely ignore this and still see nuclear war.

At first glance, I thought you were referring to Trump.

The Tweeter-in-Chief will likely not even consider a diplomatic solution first. Strongarm tactics are all he knows, and no one in government will stop him.
