Never underestimate the power of propaganda and a willing/complicit media. The man spied, killed and stole on unprecedented levels and yet we still have threads like these.
No, I think it is your side who needs cheering up. Your boy can't even come out in public any more. Obama gets cheers, Trump gets jeers. That has to tell you something about your taste in Presidents.

The problem for Trump is Obama won't go away so he has to paint him as a bad guy. Obama is windsurfing with Richard Branson. Obama is hanging with Bono. Obama gets rock star treatment on the street. It just won't end. At some point people are going to have reconcile the facts that if Obama was so bad why are people everywhere so crazy about him. I think the reality for Trump is after his eight years in office he'll be a ridiculous looking over weight 80 year old man.
Reminiscing about days and people of past eras must provide some comfort since Democrats have literally no political power in Washington DC these days.
You know that was just a ruse? It made for a good folksy story to paint a tough Chicago lawyer as a community organizer. He would not have been elected with his actual credentials.

I don't think history will paint Obama as all that great when it comes right down to it, probably right above Jimmy Carter if truth be told but that depends on how Trump does. He (Trump) may or may not take that spot with Obama coming in 3rd worst.
