There is not a single thing that Donald Trump did in his first few months that has not been criticized, I mean the media amplifies everything, rightly or wrongly.
Every President has brought in their own Attorney's, especially with a change in party. This is common and no one should be disputing that. What is certainly uncommon is letting all the holdovers go effective immediately before replacements can be nominated and voted on creating a ton of vacancies.
When resignations were asked for by the AG's of Obama, Bush and Clinton, the bulk of those asked to resign were asked to do so effective of a replacement being nominated and voted on, not resign effective immediately before a replacement is nominated.
This absolutely exemplifies the perils of believing anything that comes out of the so-called president's mouth. He means nothing he says. Nothing. The gullible cult will find this out in due time.
He didn't immediately resign because the Liar in Chief had asked him to stay on. Duh.
"...In November, Mr. Bharara met at Trump Tower with the president-elect and several of his advisers, including Mr. Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and his chief strategist, Stephen K. Bannon, according to two people briefed on that discussion who requested anonymity to describe a private meeting with Mr. Trump.
At the meeting, according to those briefed, Mr. Trump urged Mr. Bharara to remain in the job..."
“The president-elect asked, presumably because he’s a New Yorker and is aware of the great work that our office has done over the past seven years, asked to meet with me to discuss whether or not I’d be prepared to stay on as the United States attorney to do the work as we have done it, independently, without fear or favor for the last seven years,” Bharara said in November.
“We had a good meeting. I said I would absolutely consider staying on. I agreed to stay on. I have already spoken to Senator Sessions, who is as you know is the nominee to be the attorney general. He also asked that I stay on, and so I expect that I will be continuing to work at the southern district...”

the other point is these US Attorneys should be rotated out to keep the DOJ objective!
