this guy seems sane compared to the other Democrats of today. He also is not afraid to both agree with the President (he gladly voted to confirm some of his cabinet members) and disagree with him (he criticized Betsy DeVos and Trump's immigration order)

Joe Manchin is the kind of guy a lot of moderate Republicans would have no problem voting for...even if they didn't agree with him on everything.

Joe is a decent guy. He isn't a blind partisan like so many. He is the only (D) politician that can still win national office in WV so that has to say something for his wide appeal.

I like Manchin. He seems to be a common-sense Democrat that isn't big on grandstanding. I wouldn't be surprised to see him change parties one of these days.

While I agree with the responses so far, Machin's problem is that he is the Democrat's Lindsey Graham. He does well enough in his home state, but would never win his party's nomination for president.

I don't know. He's a real old school, honorable Democrat, not a conniving weasel like Schumer or Reid.

I agree. He has way too much commonsense for a Democrat.

Not likely. His family has a long history with the (D) party in WV and it would only hurt him. Make him look like a sell out to an office. He isn't going to do it.
