Right. Anyone with two brain cells should know better than to go to North Korea. I wouldn't go to Somalia, Syria, or Rwanda either. You are asking for trouble and knowingly putting your life in danger unnecessarily. I feel sorry for these people, but hey, it's their own doing.

The way this works:
N Korea and Iran are extremely hostile nations and have been for decades.
Stupid Americans insist on going to both places.
They are arrested on fake charges and tossed in prison.
At that point they become bargaining chips between the US and those two nutball states.
I have zero sympathy for anyone who ends up in a NK or Iranian prison. They should each spend a couple dozen years there in hopes that it would be a learning experience, if they survive.
I don't get it. Why when tensions are high, do Americans insist on visiting North Korea. Sometimes I wonder about common sense. Does anyone have it anymore?
