I hope someone reads it. It is long, but an important story. I read they sat on it for a year. At least it came out finally, but I have a feeling based on comments on Politico and lack of comments here, we won't be hearing about this one on the nightly news, though it should be a huge scandal.

For all the talk about what an inexperienced idiot Rex Tillerson is, he would never in a million years make a deal this bad for America. Nor would Trump. It's disgusting.

Obama hid security threat of released prisoners in Iran deal - New York Post

In announcing the swap that secured the release of Rezaian, former Marine Amir Hekmati and three other Americans, President Barack Obama referred to the seven freed men only as “civilians” and did not mention the 14 fugitives.

Other Obama officials portrayed the seven as businessmen whose offenses were mere violations of trade sanctions.

0bama’s hidden Iran deal giveaway - Politico

In his Sunday morning address to the American people, Obama portrayed the seven men he freed as “civilians.” The senior official described them as businessmen convicted of or awaiting trial for mere “sanctions-related offenses, violations of the trade embargo.”

In reality, some of them were accused by Obama’s own Justice Department of posing threats to national security. Three allegedly were part of an illegal procurement network supplying Iran with U.S.-made microelectronics with applications in surface-to-air and cruise missiles

By dropping charges against major arms targets, the administration infuriated Justice Department officials — and undermined its own counterproliferation task forces.

“This is a scandal,” she said. “The cases bear all the hallmarks of exactly the kinds of national security threats we’re still going after. It’s stunning and hard to understand why we would do this.”

They had all the goods and let them go when they threatened to bring Hillary Clinton in as their witness.
Obama bailed on that and the truth getting out.

Tillerson has more experience than any Sec of State in years. He has been an international player for years dealing with foreign governments for Exxon.

Hillary was a glorified housewife and Kerry's only experience is going on vacations overseas.

If only the Iran regime opposed abortion, opposed gay marriage and supported terrorism. <sigh>

Otherwise, Obama would be their worst enemy.

Obama has been such a useful idiot to Putin, Putin is considering giving obama a pension.

Hillary only qualified for a token bonus up until the election. Now Putin is reconsidering a pension for hillary for all the work her fear mongering campaign did to divide the country after the election.

Putin hasn't forgotten her help in spreading fire across the middle east and dividing the country during the election and more importantly after the election.

Putin might even send Hillary some SAMs to do with as she pleases and have a better chance to 'eliminate' political opponents for her next run. Though hillary was far more effective at eliminating her own chances than a SAM could ever be.
