That's what he cares about. The actual content of the bill interests him not in the slightest.

Sure seems that way, but I am surprised Ryan and GOP dancing to the music even though they don't have a plan. They have plenty of time to come up with something which would work for the American public, but instead they are cramming something down out throats just so they can say they passed a bill.

Not only are their constituents going to know how they voted, but their opponents will use video clips of them doing so in their campaign ads.

If Republicans get it organized to repeal ACA, I can't imagine how the will defend the results in the upcoming elections.

Did I sum up your position accurately, T-310?
No and your remark is hard to believe.

If you make covering preexisting conditions optional, that's what will happen. A child like Jimmy Kimmel's, born with a heart defect, will never be able to get insurance. I know it makes you uncomfortable when it's put it in terms of a helpless infant instead of the way the right prefers to talk about it, like low income "moochers" and self-employed "leeches," but that's effectively what will happen.

If you support this POS health bill, that's what you're supporting.

Amendment by Upton to add $8billion to high risk pools. Upron and Long are now yes votes. GOP Congressman Carlos Curbelo who was previously holding off on a decision waiting on to see if pre-existing conditiobs would be adressed has come out against the bill.

Can't link it properly from my phone but CNN's count has 21 Republicans against 15 undecided. Republicans can afford 22 no votes.

The whole concept of "high risk pools" are a big farce. They're splitting healthy and sick people and limiting their resources.

If he gets it out the House, then it goes to the Senate. He knows he can't get it the 60 votes it needs there, but it's defeat WOULD give him ammunition to go after the 60 vote rule. Remember he's on a campaign to make it majority rules in the Senate just like the House.

If he can say to his base "I can't repeal Obamacare because of these obstructionist Democrats and these arcane unfair rules!", therefore inspiring an angry base to call and email their Senators like mad, he may be able to make the Senate leaders cave to his wishes. Right now they are not remotely trying to hear it.
