During slavery and Jim Crow white folks lynched Black people on Sundays, then went to the church, praised God and sang hymns afterwards.

The statutes coming down are of individuals that fought against our country in order to keep the institution of slavery from ending

While Washington and Jefferson owned slaves they never fought to overthrow America.

Should England have statutes of Washington and other American patriots

There's a lot more to the story than the official narrative. But I guess that makes me a crazy kook with a tin foil hat for saying so. I'm good with that.

The question is since statues of Civil War heroes are coming down all over the South because they are deemed racist and offensive and they remind people of the slavery issue so shouldn't we be removing mosques due to 9/11?

The hijackers of the airplanes that day carried out their terrible plans in the name of their god and belief in their religion. The symbol of their religion is the mosque. They should come down.
9/11 was a Deep State operation.
See the 9/11 Commission.

It was a modern day Bay of Tonken, to get us into the Middle East for regime change.

Well there is a statue of Gandhi a stones throw from Parliament in London.
Gandhi of course lead the people in a nonviolent disobedience to free India from the control of England.

The people of England recognize that someone like Gandhi though he opposed English rule is non the less a part of its History just as the Generals and leaders of the confederacy are part of American History.

I know a guy who is big into the Civil War and the reenactments of battles. He is older now but he used to go to many of them.
Will the Social Justice Warriors target these reenactments next because it depicts battles that the southern oppressors occasionally won.

Will they demand that the Confederate battle flag not be carried because it might offend someone in the audience??

The Dukes of Hazard a silly fun show from the 80's was taken off the air due to the car in the show having a confederate flag painted on the roof. Someone was offended.

The statues are coming down because someone was offended.

When and where will this nonsense end?

I'm offended by these people who are offended, who do I call to have them removed??

Comparing apples to monkeys again?

The Civil War wasn't fought over religion. Protest a statue of Bin Ladin if you like; that would be valid. But vilifying a religion that has billions of members for the actions of a dozen of them is ludicrous.

Where's the topic here, anyway? Do you want to discuss mosques or the removal of statues? The two have nothing to do with each other.
