Indeed-back in the 90's i worked as a checker at Albertsons in a lower-middle class neighborhood. And the abuse was staggering. Porterhouse steaks, King crab legs, Oreos, pop tarts, donuts, cake, and grape crush paid with EBT, and then there was the 2nd cart, filled with malt liquor, rolling papers and other luxuries like cartons of cigarettes and phone cards paid for by a wad of 100 dollar bills.
People living the high life on public assistance is Republican nonsense. The guys I know collecting disability are lucky to get $700 a month. Could you imagine trying to live on that when the average rent is $1000 a month?
