$100 billion is what developed countries have pledged but not sure what our share is.

The whole deal, in essence, is just transfer $100 billion a year to the developing countries while they do nothing. Keep in mind, this is no binding, meaning nobody is punished for doing nothing.

No wonder so many countries signed up!
Yes it's just a $100B transfer to their bank accounts, they don't have to do a thing

Prepare the world for bad news!!! The United States is not going to continue paying for deadbeat countries who are not paying their share anymore and putting the burden on the American taxpayer. We have been the sucker for other countries too long.
Of course they are upset. They want things to go on as normal with our "fat cat" politicians in control who really do not care about the citizens.

At this point people are going to complain about anything Trump does just because they don't like him. He can't do anything right. He could find the cure for cancer and certain people would ***** and complain about that. He could end world hunger yet certain people would be whining about that etc etc and so forth and so forth.

When the air and water in China and India is as clean as it is in the US then they can have something to gripe about.

If "environmentalists" actually cared about the environment they would be screaming to bring manufacturing back to the US where things could be produced without the vastly harmful environmental impact that occurs when things are made in China, the land of no environmental rules/compliance.
This is about CO2 and climate change not water pollution, we have been the worst offender.

You sound like you live in an ideal world.

The points provided in the Paris agreement are very vague. Although it is said that the temperature rise would be curbed to well below 2° C from the pre industrial levels, it would be really tough to do so even if the counties follow the provisions dutifully because the targets given are not enough for the purpose. The following of the provisions properly by the countries is also something that we cannot be sure of because there isnt any penalty for not achieving the targets. No penalty means no follow up on the plans(mostly).

This agreement isn't perfect as the hype around it has been created but it's a welcome step in the direction of saving the environment.

Nobody is saying saving the planet is not important, but no penalty means no follow up on the plans. $100B is a waste of money and time.

Poor countries will be the least prepared for the effects of climate change which the U.S and other developed countries have been largely responsible for.

The problem is a big chunk of the American population does not realize how devastating the effects are. An example is the mass migration from Drought stricken Syria into Europe, that is just a taste of things to come.
