First of all driving is a privilege, not a right. Secondly, driving is far more dangerous than owning and even carrying firearms. And thirdly the analogy is not silly. More people died by words than guns by a long shot. Hitler never shot anybody, yet with his words he managed to kill 6 million Jews and millions of other people. So if we're to have restrictions on fundamental rights then we should start with the 1st.
