How far do you believe $2 million would go for medical treatment requiring mechanical ventilation in an intensive care unit?

What was Trump's plan to help, bring the boy and family here to the US and have us taxpayers pay for his life-long intensive care treatment on a ventilator, feeding tube, etc.?
That's what it sounds like to me and given that he wants to cut medicaid by 35% which will definitely impact disabled children in this country it just drips with hypocrisy

Consensus is quality of life for this child is nil regardless of medical intervention.
That's not for you to decide who is worth keeping alive or not. I still don't understand what prevents them from picking up the child, putting him on a plane and fly him to New York? Is the UK a big jail now?

I looked for your post that I expected would read something like this:

What was Trump's plan to help, bring Syrian refugees here to the US and have us taxpayers pay for their life-long expenses?

I didn't find it.

In this case, they already have 2 million in the bank. The same people who have no qualms abut admitting hundreds of thousands of Syrian refuegees now have an epiphany for fiscal matters.

So is this the nirvana we are promised? Guards are stationed at the hospital to prevent parents from taking their kids home. How's that different from a jail?

Trump's offer is for "we" to help as in the US taxpayer paying for it. It wouldn't cost him a dime.

Read the news before you post. They have 2 million in the bank and climbing. YOU are not paying anything. You can save it for the Syrian refugees I am sure you are supporting.

How much do you think would be left over to pay for the baby's treatment in the US after the costs of transporting him (with life support equipment, plus medical attendants) from the hospital to the airport and then on to a plane (with all that equipment and medical attendants, plus possibly a change in configuration of part of the plane). I would imagine not much would be left.

Yes, that is exactly what "single payer" will get you.
