Disneyland's Pirates of the Caribbean to no longer include auction scene selling women - LA Times

Quote:
A scene that depicts women on the auction block apparently has no place in a Disneyland ride, even if the attraction is meant to depict the violence, debauchery and misogyny of a pirate’s life.
Thanks feminists!

It's not a big deal. You think it's a big deal?

" Disney removes Wife Auction scene from Pirates of the Caribbean ride "

The ride never was a true depiction of pirate life, like those ladies were going to be "wed", what a joke. Anyway, it was one of my favorite rides, the kids loved it too. Pure fantasy, but lots of fun. As long as they don't turn the pirates into metrosexuals, I'm good.

Are you saying Republicans think sexual trafficking is appropriate amusement park entertainment for children?

It's fiction, they own it, they can do what they want. If someone's vision of history is based on Disney they are in a bad way.
What the hell is Goofy, anyway?

I'm surprised they still allow her to drink alcohol - - you know they'll be changing that too in the near future.

The ride has been around for 50 years. Only reason they are doing something now is because we have the SJw liberals

"It's a Small World" will now be known as "It's a Size-Challenged World".

So why was Song of the South never made available on DVD? You think this stuff is new? Walt's Nazi loving was covered up well before the term "social justice warrior" was invented.
