Donald J Trump promised a “major speech” attacking campaign rival Hillary Clinton last June 7th on the same day his son, Donald Trump Jr., had set up a meeting with a Russian government lawyer he was told had compromising information on the Democratic candidate. “I am going to give a major speech on probably Monday of next week, and we’re going to be discussing all of the things that have taken place with the Clintons,” Trump said at the time. “I think you’re going to find it very informative and very, very interesting.

Trump however failed to follow through on his campaign promise to reveal dirt on Clinton the next week. He instead focused a June 13 (the following Monday) event in New Hampshire on national security issues.

Rather curious that he teased everyone about dirt on Clinton at about the same time his son was meeting with the Russians expecting to get damaging information. If Junior is to be believed that his meeting with the Russian government attorney yielded nothing, it might help explain why Trump never followed up the next week on his promise of dirt on Clinton. It would also however mean that Trump was actually aware of his son's meeting and its purpose. If not, are we just to believe that all of these things are just random unrelated coincidences?

We know Don Sr. knew about these emails. He's 100% guilty, and anyone who denies it is 100% drinking the cult kool-aid and is a lost cause.

What in the hell is happening to our government and president? I hope we can fix this before we go completely off the rails.

Republicans valued power and money so much they willingly allowed Vladimir Putin to take over our country and install Russian plants in the highest levels of government.

That's what's happening. And 1/3 of this forum is perfectly on board with that.

Which is crazy. You can't talk to them rationally because they are blind to everything he is doing. Instead they will continue to bring up the election, Hillary and Obama.

I didn't vote for Trump but I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt. It is best for us all for him to do his job and do it well but he isn't even coming close. He is alienating us from the rest of the world which some on here think is a good thing. I can't support this at all.

It is appalling how they can be so quick demand to lock Hillary up for having her own email server but the fact that so many of Trump's circle blatantly lie about any association with Russia and even met with them to get dirt on Hillary to swing the election is perfectly ok!

If Hillary did any of this, she would have been tried for treason months ago! The double standard and fact that Republicans in Congress are making excuses for the Trump admin and dismissing these revelations are astounding...

I expect this in Turkey, Brazil or Venezuela where they have some serious issues politically but not in America!

For this, I will never vote Republican again...
