this statement seems to imply that the socialist/fascists/Marxist progressives aim to kill capitalism , bring us to socialism as a short stop towards the ultimate goal..."the paradise of communism"
Government is an institution of power, authority, and control. It's the triumph of the collective over the individual. Statists seek to increase its power, authority, and control in service of trying to "fix" things in the present and craft a future utopia.

1. our police, fire, schools, and roads are by the STATE, and LOCAL governments...not federal

2. Germany has had socialism far before the 40s. I believe their universal healthcare began in the late nineteenth century. Fascism and socialism don't run hand in hand. Modern Germany, UK, France etc are socialist and they seem to be doing far superior to the US in a number of aspects.

We already are socialist on our police, fire depts, schools (except college), roads, etc but not certain others.
