Just another excuse is all this is. HE rather talk about himself and how the other party would of been worse to have in office. He KNEW is was non partisan he just didn't care. Typical Trump just wanted to hear himself talk.

You have clearly never dealt with the White House. You don't screen the president's speeches. You don't tell the president what he's going to say.

Patriotism is part of what the BSA is about. The BSA had a problem in that the president has an open invitation to speak at their Jamboree (or, really, any BSA event he wants to).

The didn't get to screen President Obama's speech, either. If President Obama had chosen to speak to the BSA about LGBT tolerance, they would have had no choice but to listen respectfully.

I never said they should have screened it.

They could however have given parameters to his staff or suggestions about what they would like him to cover or highlight.

Jeez, no, they couldn't. You can't tell the president what to say. Especially not Trump. His own people can't give him parameters or suggestions that he's obligated to follow.

The BSA was on a train they could not stop and had no choice but to ride. They would have had to cancel the entire Jamboree.

Now you of all people know that Trump's staff does not have the ability to see that he stays within parameters.

Talk about silly nonsense.

All they needed to do was not invite him.

As neither Trump nor his staff seemed to have any idea what the Boy Scouts or their Jamboree was about, I doubt they would have even noticed.

I hold the BSA responsible for not calling out the behavior of the Scouts who booed a former POTUS and SoS. Completely unacceptable.

But any sane person knows you don't get up in front of a bunch of teenage boys and refer to yacht orgies. And any POTUS should know that there's not supposed to be any political talk at Scouting events - trump himself said "Who the hell wants to talk about politics?" before going on a 20-minute rant about politics.

Many members of his administration have a significant history with Scouts. Ryan Zinke, Rick Perry, and Rex Tillerson are all Eagles. Ryan Zinke was on stage with Trump during the speech in uniform with a campaign hat no less! (Hardly anyone in Scouts splashes out for a campaign hat. They're expensive.) Trump had plenty of resources to help him learn about Scouts. He did not use them.

Trump is too busy with Hitler's playbook to study the scouts.

You have a bunch of kids that don't know their ass from a hole in the ground that are very impressionable that were headed together like a flock of sheep. They get blindsided by some whack job line of BS just because he is so desperate for supporters.

This goes hand in hand with the adolescent habit of using some toy idiot phone typing his crap for all to see on the Twatter. Other than both practices being unprofessional, they both are and should be unacceptable to anyone that can see thru this farce.
Still waiting for an answer.
