Anyway, last night, my wife and I were visiting one of America’s most historic grand summer resorts for an evening. She emerged from the ladies’ room to report a newly installed urinal. You have to admit, this is very strange...

Or is this some kind of religious mania? Reproduction and sex are important religious themes. It used to be socially advisable to believe in a virgin birth, but now it’s necessary to attest that you believe that if Bruce Jenner hoists his evening gown up to use the urinal at an expensive resort, he’s a woman.
World War T in the women’s room - The Unz Review

How many ladies here are happy to see urinals now when they go into a public restroom?

It was probably a bidit.

Edit: You can see how easily it could be mistaken for one if you didn't know what one was.

Sounds like many here have never been to Europe. Makes sense.
(a lot of rest rooms are used by both genders at one time).

Heck, I think they should do away with urinals anyway - go for all stalls. That would solve a lot of problems and be a bit more civilized.

World War T in the women’s room - The Unz Review

Why wouldn't the author (at link) name this high end resort or have his wife take a photo?
Fake news?

My guess is that it is satire. A high end resort is exactly where you would expect to find a bidit. He made sure to mention that it was. He's picking on people who are afraid of something called a liberal. It worked.

Do whatever they want to do, as long as we don't have to hear about it anymore.

The U.S. interstate highway system, celebrating its 60th birthday this year, is showing its age. Many roads and bridges are in need of repair or expansion. Similar problems exist for public drinking and wastewater systems, dams and levees, airports, railroads and mass transit systems..

Yet, we focus on this type of stuff. (bathroom)

Build a new type of bathroom; or adding an amusement park inside a bathroom; or everybody uses the same bathroom.. Just do whatever and get it over with.

And why do our stalls have to have those gaps? So uniquely American.
