Can't say the general angst about those who are wealthy compared to the rest of us isn't also common place, but funny how it seems conservatives are all for the wealthy, unless they don't promote more wealth for themselves and instead maybe a message having to do with those not so well off. Can't have that!

If all these players were taking a knee to promote lower taxes for the wealthy, we'd have all these Trump supporters applauding their efforts!

I'm from Pittsburgh originally and am so proud of the Steelers for standing up to the nonsense from our President, (who should be concentrating on more important things that tweeting about football) and showing their support for doing the right things.

Trump just keeps winning and winning and winning, "I'm so tired of winning !"...........

Probably mostly true. This has much more to do with Trump, who is POTUS, who is head of government...

Lots of folks seem needing to go back to school, to understand even the fundamentals here. Agreed, but you may need to take a few special classes like a good many of the rest of us to sort through what all this means without biases that blind us to what is truly important about these lessons, and protests, and reasons for them.

FYI : An anthem is not about politics nor political.

POLITICS - The activities associated with the governance of a country or area.

What are the activities of “governance”?

GOVERNANCE - The action or manner of governing, control.

A NATIONAL ANTHEM is a patriotic hymn or other song adopted by a nation for use on public or state occasions.

PATRIOTISM is defined as love of country and willingness to sacrifice for it.

To protest the anthem is to protest patriotism, not the political system.
That is just wrong.
They are ashamed to be American, the only country in the world where they could possibly have a job that affords them a lifestyle they couldn't get anywhere else on Earth.

Poor sportsmen if you ask me.

I don't know what to tell you if you think that's realistic.

Part of being an American is freedom, like the freedom to burn our flag or the freedom to kneel during the national anthem. And you say Donald Trump won because he took away Americans freedom to protest during the national anthem.

And today its not being able to kneel in protest during the anthem, but whats next?

The NFL will be fine because once you start getting near the playoffs, those who have turned off the NFL in their little hissyfit, will start turning it back on and will forget all about these protests.
