Here in Cal we have been hit with a large STATE GAS TAX causing the price per gallon to jump about 5%. We are already the highest in the nation. I love it when someone complains how they have to pay $2.27g while when they were paying $2 we were paying $2.50-$3

The average price per gallon right now is about $2.90, and has ZERO to do with Trump.

Today’s Regional Prices
Following are the Central Valley average prices for Friday, July 28, driving from south to north, as reported by the American Automobile Association, with last week’s (July 21) averages in parentheses and [July 14] prices in brackets:

• Bakersfield, $2.938 ($2.933) [$2.949]

• Visalia-Porterville, $2.970 ($2.957) [$2.971]

• Fresno, $2.941 ($2.953) [$2.964]

• Merced, $2.874 ($2.890) [$2.920]

• Modesto, $2.738 ($2.740) [$2.752]

• Stockton-Lodi, $2.806 ($2.806) [$2.810]

• Sacramento, $2.819 ($2.825) [$2.835]

• Yolo, $2.759 ($2.771) [$2.764]

• Yuba City, $2.690 ($2.710) [$2.736]

• Chico, $2.741 ($2.745) [$2.736]

The market average price for self-serve regular gasoline in the Los Angeles-Long Beach area on July 28 is $2.935, up 2.4 cents since last Friday. In San Diego, the average price is $2.911, up 2.2 cents over the past seven days, the AAA says.

Central Valley Business Times

If you're only paying $2.27, be thankful because we haven't seen that here in years.
If I could throw some gas to you at our prices, I would .

Within the last day or two I paid $1.86 9/10 in the Houston metro, and the cheapest price here that day was $1.82 9/10.

I don't recall obama meeting with CEOs and asking them what the government could do to help. Like meeting with Carrier and Harley for example...

And yes Don why should you be exempt.

Maybe that's why... perhaps you should apply that logic of yours from back then to today... gas prices near me this morning are still lower than what you were about...

Under obama when gas was almost 5 per gallon in NY alot of businesses took a hit... Diesel was over 5 per gallon!
Especially places that required driving like campgrounds or amusement parks because 50 bucks for half a tank of crap 87 and 5.10 per gallon for diesel was conducive for travel...

As I suggested earlier. If your building hot rods why not build them to run on E85... it's 1.67 per gallon here
Chances are that Cadillac of yours that you got pulled over in, if built in the last 5 years, may be E85 compatible....
I thought with age came wisdom...

You lecturing us about objectivity towards Trump is like the chemistry farter lecturing another kid about burping.

Have you noticed I'm not taking you seriously? That's because you don't deserve it.

Looks like I just stepped out of the shower just walking from the dock back to the truck...
On Saturday here (Houston metro) it was 102 (AT&T's weather feed) & 100 (weather.com) and a feels like (with the humidity) of 116.

50 miles is not long commute

Yep. Dividing all who voted into 6 income groups......Trump won the top four (50k-100k, 100k-200k, 200k-250k, and over 250k per year), and Hillary demolished Trump in the bottom two (30k-50k, and under 30k).
