I think Kelly's new proximity to Trump will have him heading for the door while Bannon continues slithering around.

One of my RL political junkie friends says Kelly is part of the Deep State and will have no compunction about doing whatever it takes to keep the Russian influence out of the White House, including having Bannon come to an untimely end if necessary.

Does anyone else see the same type of scenario? Who do you bet on being around in December?

Bannon, will outlast Kelly.
Bannon is the strategist behind almost everything Trump does.
Playing games will get you the boot.

If that were true, Trump would have a shoe store in his pants.

I think trump is more afraid of the backlash from his racist base for firing bannon than of the conservative Republican backlash for firing kelly.

But I'm betting both will stay for as long as Trump stays. Pence will fire everyone but Kelly when he takes over.
Perhaps he does know how to organize; for Trump's sake I hope he does. But - what knowledge does he have about how to get things done in DC? Republican contacts? Big donor contacts? Could Kelly have gotten that healthcare bill passed? Doubt it.

The military is a different beast.

I think you are on to something.

Team Trump was desperate for a distraction. Even money Bannon told him to say something crude about him to get all the attention away from Trump Jr. and that fiasco.

Trump does not want to turn Bannon/Breitbart/Heritage Foundation against him.

Bannon or Kelly? Who will last longer?
Tillman, Pence and generals will get thrown under the bus when the crap hits the fan with foreign policy.

Nah. That rant was pure unaduterated New York Italian mob talk at its nastiest.

No other spokesman for the President of the United States would have ever dared to speak such filth so readily to a known reporter who never offered any off-the-record protection.

Scaramucci was the worst possible choice Trump could have made for the job, and Moochi blew it spectacularly. Before he even started. I have never seen any Press Secretary even come close to such profanity. He should never have even been allowed to step foot in the White House afterwards.

Kelly did Trump the biggest favor so far in this miserable excuse for a presidency when he immediately sent him packing.
