The Obama administration tapped 20 phones of the AP and its reporters, resulting in spying on as many as 100 journalists. The Obama administration even seized the phone records of James Rosen's parents and said he was a criminal conspirator. Furthermore, when informed that Angela Merkel's phone was being tapped, Obama personally allowed it to continue. That was really no big deal, of course, because the NSA was monitoring calls of 35 world leaders for the Obama administration.

Yep. Freedom of the Press. It is the cornerstone of Democracy. A Free Press serves to keep the people informed of all activities including the ones that may be inconvenient for the subjects of the stories.

I have to say -- it is disturbing to me. And once again I'm reminded of the incompetence of this administration.
Trump has pissed off enough people who know where the bodies are buried to keep the newspapers running through the end of the century. Those who are still inside and walking on eggshells wondering if they will be the next to get the axe have no loyalty to a tinhorn Napoleon who won't reciprocate it, and Trump tends to forget they know things.

In short, Trump has no friends inside or out. He dug his own hole, and doesn't have enough sense to quit digging.

AP phones were tapped.

The AP phones were not tapped, the phone records were acquired (legally) in order to find out the origin of a leak about a Yemen terrorist plot and a plan to use cyberwarfare against Iran.

James Rosen's phone records

Here's what Mr. Rosen has to say about it: "I was not wiretapped, my parents were not wiretapped, which is where you place a listening device on someone's telephone line and you listen to their conversations," Rosen told Fox & Friends on Sunday after the show's hosts claimed his phones were tapped. Instead, Rosen explained, former Attorney General Eric Holder had secretly designated Rosen a criminal co-conspirator -- because he had received classified information from a former State Department contractor -- thereby giving the government permission to subpoena Rosen's emails and phone records, including those of his parents." Sean Spicer wrongly claims Fox reporter's phones were 'tapped' - Mar. 8, 2017

Angela Merkel's phone was tapped:

Germany dropped the investigation into that claim because investigators had not been able to prove that the document was “an authentic eavesdropping order from the N.S.A., or another U.S. intelligence agency,” or that it concretely showed the chancellor’s phone had been tapped.

Red font doesn't make what you write automatically true. Generally, it is common practice to cite your claims. I always try to, at least. Please share your sources.
