Woah WTF is your problem, buddy? The other person was just highlighting what they loved about their state. I didn't read any animosity toward CA.

The humidity is high in FL but so what? What is the Californian obsession with weather and hating on humidity? You guys always insert the weather as a major factor as if most people who live in the Sunbelt give a flying flip. Yeah humidity can be a pain, but people wouldn't uproot everything just for better weather. Give it a rest with the weather talk. You guys sound so stupid. Someone might tell you they don't think it's worth it to pay 1M for a house in SoCal, and you guys idiotically retort, "oh yeah but at least we have better weather". People look at you as though you have brain damage. Who gives a flip that much about weather??

Rain? Oh no. Are you going to melt? And In N Out is OVERRATED. I can only have it if it's ANIMAL STYLE. That's it. So quit trolling.

Plus CA has more trailer parks than FL.

I've been to the San Diego zoo. It's no different than Miami's. Heck, I prefer Palm Beach Counties Lion Country Safari over both.

Californians are not the only ones that obsess about the weather. I know quit a few people that have moved out of Florida just because of the humidity. Some people like humidity and some don't.

I can't comment on Florida because I have never been there.

Animal Style is the only way to go at In N Out.

Leaving CA was literally the hardest decision I've ever had to make. I am a lover of surf and the mountains and Austin has neither. Waaaahh! What I did get though is a house on acreage 20 minutes from downtown. When you live in 1000 square feet on a 4000 square foot lot your whole life then move to the country it's mind blowing. When I go home to visit now I'm very aware of and am annoyed by city noise. lol. I definitely appreciate it a little more now though. In 4 hours you can be in the desert, the redwoods, or snowy mountains in the Bay Area and I MISS that. It takes me 8 hours just to get to the western border in Texas! My hubs is awesome and gets me home for visits real often (going back in 3 weeks for an SF/Lake Tahoe visit) and that quells the occasional homesickness.

I miss good mariscos though. Oh how I miss mariscos.

because humidity is a HUGE deal. it's why CA costs twice as much as Florida. And it's why you can be outside in the summer, and not drip sweat after 5 minutes.

By your weather logic, everyone should just follow the Marketwatch article today, and move to Iowa for some of those $139k homes.

I don't see Neil Diamond, Beach Boys, Don Henley, Dr Dre, or Snoop Dogg making hits about Florida weather

The hardest thing for me to leave was the ocean because I grew up surfing. I still surf when I go back and there is nothing like it. I do snowboard here in Colorado but it still doesn't compare IMHO.

We are going back in October for a Disney trip and then down to San Diego to get my ocean and Mexican food fix.

A lot of people outside California only see Hollywood and think that is all it is.

I get that some people hate humidity. But Californians act as though it's a major factor in everyone's decision to hate a place. It's annoying.

If you think it is only California you need to get out more.

Most states would actually want what California has in many respects.
I wouldn't live there (too many people) but I enjoy visiting on occasion.

I would just put in a Republican legislature, watch it's GDP double from the deregulation, viola! Paradise
I believe that California is a wealthy state not because of its politics but because of its favorable geography. This geography attracted many businesses and productive people in the past.

But that is also true of New York and if California is anything like New York it is living on this past favorable legacy which is going downhill with one sided crazy politics and excessive taxes and regulations.

Policies like high taxes and sanctuary cities will slowly drive California's future downward similarly to a misgoverned place called Venezuela.
