You need to synchronize your stories... with yourself. There were many pedestrians and cars in front of him so where did he think he was going by accelerating forward?
AWAY from the attack from behind. He was attacked from behind, as were the cars in the other video. They ALL fled forward after being attacked from behind, despite other cars and pedestrians being present in that direction.
The problem is the left/Antifa attacking occupied cars. Any sane person would flee those attacks.
You mean the photo that shows people running out of the way and no one behind his car? Explain why he didn't shift gears to reverse and get out of there while he was "braking" in this photo?
After reviewing the above photo (attachment) and the video as well as reviewing the witness statements, I believe that this is a photo of Fields near the end of the street preparing to plow into the crowd. Notice that the brake lights are on and there is visible exhaust coming out of the tailpipe. That would indicate to me that Fields is holding the brake with one foot while simultaneously pushing the gas pedal with the other thereby accelerating the motor. When he released the brake, his car would accelerate at the highest speed possible in this short distance.

Witness Chris Mahony said he and a friend, who shot one of the videos, were walking down the street when he saw the gray car on the other side of the street.
"It just sat there, looking down the road," he said. "I thought that's a bit strange. There didn't seem to be any other cars stopping him from going. And then a couple moments we heard a car going incredibly fast down the road and then it plowed into the crowd."
Based on what? He was slowing down. Brake lights were lit. He didn't speed up again until after he was attacked.
The break lights weren't lit when he was hit with the pole or just prior to it, they had only been lit further up the street, if he was slowing down they would still be lit as otherwise he wouldn't have slowed down enough to not hit people.

That is extremely disturbing. I wouldn't be surprised if it comes out in the trial that he was discussing running over protesters on alt-right forums before this, that kind of thing has even been discussed here on CD with some posters being in favour of it.

Because he had already slowed down. He was going slowly enough to be struck from behind by a person swinging a flagpole.
Anyone who has had a pet that's gotten loose and has tried to grab at it as it was running from them will understand how hard it is to make contact with a moving object from behind.

If that happened, it will come out at trial, no?
The brake lights were lit in order for Fields to rev his engine and gain maximum speed for the short distance. That is why the photo shows brake lights on while the pedestrians seemed to first notice the car (noise of engine revving up).
This video demonstrates this technique coincidentally with a Dodge Charger. This would indicate intentional first degree.

That's your own conjecture. There'sno evidence to prove such.
There would be no point in depressing the brake to accelerate. He'd simply just accelerate from the end of the block to impact if the intent was to cause maximum carnage. That didn't happen.

Again, notice the brake lights are on, exhaust coming out of the tailpipe, and pedestrians beginning to take notice most likely from the sound of a revving engine. Fields was holding his brake while pushing the gas pedal with the intent to rev the engine for maximum speed into the crowd when he released his brake.

Pretty sure this is why the brake lights were on at the same time exhaust was seen coming out of the back of Fields' car.

So... where are the skid marks on 4th Street that indicate that's what happened? Watch your own video link. The car leaves skid mark tracks.
Watch the following video. When the purpose is to "launch" at high speed, the tires may not spin or leave skid marks. However, do you have a photo of the site where Fields launched showing no skid marks?
