The left and mass immigration has already effectively split up America.
Exactly. It could be done legally and we would be a much stronger nation, red america wants stronger borders, doesnt want refugees but some judge from blue America or circuit court ruling from Seattle or San Francisco can stop it at least temporarily .
So little gets done, we are just too different as a nation. we would be a much stronger nation separated. I have nothing in common with most of the ultra liberal / minority white cities of washington dc ,manhattan, and hollywood/la but they are the real centers of power. I want political, financial and media capitals in some place like idaho or texas or right wing georgia , some place that conservatives can relate to.
I think the majority of the American people have more in common than differences. It is the radicals on both sides that are causing all of the trouble. We do not need to be a divided country.
We used to be a united country but no more. We are more divided now than we have ever been and I think it's just going to get worse regardless of the radicals on the left or right. We are severely divided along political and cultural lines.
Dissolving the UNION is a GREAT idea - for predators.
DIVIDE and CONQUER!
Remember, the original purpose of the UNION was to mutually defend Creator endowed rights from enemies, foreign and domestic.
Sadly, the transformation into the Peoples Democratic Socialist Republic of America(1933) wasn't as smooth as expected. The "Bumps" are starting to show up as the country is split into recipients versus the donors.
I think the past election proved that it is not so much state vs. state as it is major metro areas vs. all the other areas --
GENERALLY speaking, of course!
For example, i live in a Denver suburb, and whereas Denver is VERY liberal, almost the entire rest of the state is NOT. In fact, there was (is?) a recent movement to annex northwestern Colorado to Wyoming -- not that THAT will happen!
Therefore, dividing the U.S. would be VERY difficult, if not impossible.
Maybe along party lines. Let the Democrats have their states and republicans and right wingers have ours. "The American Union" has become something like the soviet union or the European union. We are an enormous country, there are counties in america as big as european nations. Of course there is alot of division within the states as well but people can move to the state they prefer
So much hatred and division and so little gets done
No, but I have a better idea.
You Conservatives find boats and go establish your own new country elsewhere. But you can't have a part of this one. Forget it.
Pull out a map and start looking for potential new areas for Conservatives to settle. But it can't be here.

What needs to "get done" that is worth the dissolution of the country Vlad?

I disagree.
Political issues are transitory, these will pass and we would have new issues that divide the population up differently. We can not keep splitting up for parochial reasons.

No it's always the same fundamental thing, liberals and neo-cons using whites as the scapegoat. while liberals/progressive try to alter or erase everything American, and mass, globalized immigration forever.

The problem is not the size of the land, it's that one city controls all - DC. And it's not even in the middle of nation.
If you want to break up America the only way to do so would be to make State Capitals more powerful. Since they are closer, the people will back them vs DC in a serious political fight.
While I do not wish to see anything bad happen, DC could care less about you or me, so if they fall, so be it. Donald Trump, the loudmouth manhattanite won because so many people had been left behind by DC.
It deserves to fail and we may be seeing that happen in real time.
America is enormous , we would accomplish alot more as a nation if we split up.
Our cities are horrible ,terrible mass transit, you go to asia and its amazing. japan, singapore. low crime, exciting cities, state of the art mass transit, much better science and math education, much more futuristic.
