The U.S. Secret Service is investigating a Facebook post from Missouri state Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal, D-University City, in which she stated: "I hope Trump is assassinated!"
As outage over the comment spread Thursday, a top leader in Chappelle-Nadal's own party declared that Chappelle-Nadal "should be ashamed of herself."
How long until people become critical thinkers for themselves to recogize when wrong is wrong.
That person should be reprimanded for writing that.
Why politicians think they should post on social media all the time is beyond me. It's one thing to retweet inspirational quotes, it's another thing to write your knee jerk reaction when you are all fired up.

While they certainly have to chase down all potential threats, I don't believe that comment rises to the level that warrants SS involvement. But I also believe that elected officials at all levels should be held to a higher standard of decorum and would applaud someone in Missouri holding her accountable.
