Holy cow. I clicked on the article and expected to see that Bob Corker is a former Senator. But he's a current GOP Senator.

This is bad news for Trump. Keep in mind that most GOP Senators and Representatives will keep these thoughts to themself because they don't want to trash someone within their own party and also because Trump is known to attack back.

Given those 2 things above, there have been a lot of GOP Senators and Representatives speaking out against Trump. This likely means that there are many more that stay silent but feel the same way.

Trump can be impeached for being unfit to hold office. And the GOP has looked the other way regarding the emoluments clause also. I think, if the GOP chose, they have enough info on Trump today to impeach him. Although I don't think they want to do this yet, if he stays unhinged, they might just decide to impeach him. Or if he fires Mueller, they might move forward with impeachment.

If the Mueller investigation brings charges against Trump, it's likely that the there are enough GOP votes to both impeach and remove him from office. It only requires 10% of the GOP Representatives and 17 GOP Senators. I think they probably have that many now, and it's likely growing day by day.

Yea, but if Hillary was elected, Corker would have said something 10 times worse about her. And Obama!

Also, Benghazi!

I would have no problem with him saying whatever he wants about anybody, especially if he is speaking the truth about that person.

Do you really expect his behavior to change at this point?

Yeah, but you can disagree with a person and still support them. If Trump turns on Paul Ryan tomorrow, then his supporters will do the same, and I see that all time here on CD. Nobody was saying thing about Corker, but since he disagree with Trump on his speech, now you find faults about him.

Hopefully it helps rally the remaining GOP Senators to go against anything and everything Trump proposes and hopefully kick him out of office.

Corker has terrible numbers in tennessee and hopefully President trump goes after him like he is doing Flake

This was back in june

"When asked “Senator Bob Corker recently said President Trump is ‘out of control’ and the ‘White House is in a downward spiral.’ Do you agree or disagree with Senator Corker?” only 20 percent of likely Tennessee GOP primary voters agreed. A huge 76 percent disagreed."

A new poll released by The Tennessee Star conducted of 1,007 likely Republican primary voters in Tennessee by Triton Polling and Research shows that Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) may have trouble winning the nomination of his own party in its August 2018 U.S. Senate primary.

When asked “As of now, do you think Bob Corker deserves re-election or is it time to give someone else a chance? ” only 41.1 percent of likely Republican primary voters in Tennessee said he “deserves re-election.”

An equal number, 41.6 percent, said “give someone else a chance.”

Trump likely will go after Corker. Trump counter attacks everyone except Russia and Putin. He even counter attacked the Pope. Russia trashed him pretty badly in the press not that long ago and he didn't reply. Russia's got the goods on Trump and Mueller's team knows it.
