Lee was the exact opposite of a traitor.

Slavery was real, but the rest of your comment is based more on your imagination than reality.

How exactly was Lee a traitor? He didn't support secession and he didn't seem overly fond of slavery either. He was more pro-Virgina than anti-Union. Besides, whatever Lee had done, he's got NOTHING on Obama and Hillary (and I don't think Benedict Arnold or Aaron Burr did either.)

Is it backwards day on your planet?

Lee was a traitor to the U.S.A., the nation he had given his oath to protect and defend.

A number of other West Point cadets and graduates joined him and they proceeded to launch a brutal, ugly war in defense of slavery.

I don't care how good a tactician he was, he was a traitor.

He and his cohorts tore the nation apart, left the south in shambles, and left us with 150 years of divisive Confederate BS.

You have been misinformed.

Lee supported secession and was quite fond of slavery. Read up on it.

Who the hell cares if he was pro-Virginia? He was a traitor to the U.S.A. Many southerners, including relatives and fellow West Pointers didn't follow in Lee's footsteps.

Neither Obama nor Clinton led an insurrection army agains the U.S.

You post the damnedest dumb stuff.

That's exactly what the Daughters of the Confederacy where trying to do and it worked.

Look at all the people who think Lee was some noble character.

I would have thought it was quite obvious. He didn't support secession?!? Jeez, he led a failed insurrection against his own country, the same country that he was born and grew up in for God's sake.

Read some history, most people who take an active role in a failed coup d'état are hanged. Just because President Johnson was soft on Lee and the south doesn't make them any less traitorous...
