While I personally support the removal of Confederate statues from public places I do find it odd that only since Trump got elected do all this Left leaning cities and universities feel such a pressing need to remove all things Confederate. After the Charleston Massacre I only read of GOP leaders like Nikki Haley and elected officials in SC doing so.
They are using it as a tool to accuse Trump, and Trump supporters of being RACIST in the hopes of destabilizing this Administration, and our country. Interesting that the pick NOW to make a big deal out of inanimate objects that aren't hurting anyone.
This is all part of the Soros-engineered campaign of continual outrage, which is designed to return power to the left, disrupt the country, and destroy Trump.
And no, this has not been "going on for a while now." The orchestrated campaigns of Antifa, the Democrat Party, the media, and other left wing hate organizations have ramped it up into high gear every since Trump won.

There has been debate about the place of the statues and the Confederate flag in the public square for years. The intense focus on a national level may be new, but the question itself is not.
And I think the breaking point for those people was 9 days ago.
