the difference is all of tRump's silly rhetoric about how tough he is and how he's the only one with all the answers and how 'easy' it's going to be to solve.
HE walked right into the scorn he's receiving now, and it's well deserved.

Trump claimed he could do the job, time to put up or shut up.
Imagine China and South Korea beset by millions of desperate refugees. Would China sit still for a unified, American-allied Korea on its border? Having broken North Korea, the U.S. would own it for many, many years to come. Which would not be easy, or pretty.
China wants the status quo. Let them figure out what to do.
