Sugar isn't bad in moderation, corn syrup is a lot worse, problem is that they put it in everything, I mean everything, pizza, cereal, bread, etc..
That's what I don't get. Why does bread need sugar in it? If you ever are lucky enough to eat bread in Europe it is over-whelmingly better tasting and has a better texture than most of the rubbish sold in North America. I don't think there is all the sugar and additives in European bread. The average loaf of bread available at a grocery store in America is now beginning to have the taste and texture of cardboard.

European bread is usually delivered every morning and stale by the next day. If Americans want their style of bread they have to either be lucky enough to still have a old style bakery nearby or a Whole Foods.

We have a bread maker. It's so simple it's crazy. I rarely eat store bought bread anymore.
They make sugar free sauce. What kills me is when you buy things like Jelly which already has fruit in it and they had more sugar.
I'm a label reader, so yeah, I always look for sauce with no sugar. I don't eat jelly.
